Hinata Cafe Event Report

 Thank you all for coming yesterday!!

We were overwhelmed to see so many people there!

We hope we can see you again　next year!

昨日はご来場頂き誠にありがとうございます！！

本当に沢山の方に来ていただき、メンバー一同感動いたしました。

また来年もお会いできることを願っております！

It had been a very busy day for all of us

that we have forgotten to take pictures of the event, however,

we have some pictures taken by one of the member's mum!

当日はとにかく忙しく、イベントの写真を撮る余裕がなかったのですが

メンバーのお母さんがイベントの様子をカメラに収めてくれてましたので

少しご紹介致します♪

The far left side building is the canteen where our cafe team were serving lunch and sweets.

There was a sushi shop at the left side close to the entrance.

敷地に入って見える左奥の建物がキャンティーンとなっていて、カフェ・チームがランチやお菓子をご提供！

手前の左手にはお寿司のストールがありました♪

The craft members had no chance to see this long queue! Wow!!

It actually goes from canteen to the library and right back to the entrance!

この長い行列を、クラフト・チームは見ることができませんでしたが、

キャンティーンから図書館の前、そして入口付近へと続く長蛇の列！！

すごかったんですね～！！

Few lucky people who had made it to the canteen!

There was a macrobiotic food stall right behind that white pole, and theirs went by lunch time!

Lucky some of the craft members bought them before we opened, as we had no chance of getting lunch for ourselves!

キャンティーンの前に辿りついた人たち。

白い柱の後ろにはマクロビのおやきやマフィンを売っているひよこまめさんがいらっしゃいましたが、ランチ頃には完売されていました。

クラフトメンバーの数人、イベント前に彼女のおやきを買っていて正解でした。

This is the tea ceremony place on the left hand side of the canteen.

こちらはキャンティーンの左手で行われたお茶会です。

Beautiful ceremony as always!

着物姿の先生とお弟子さんによる純和風な雰囲気が素敵です。

 

 

There was a plant dyeing stall next to the canteen, and a story telling workshops there as well.

キャンティーンの左側には草木染めや森の幼稚園がありました♪

素敵な染物ですね♪

This is the craft place inside the hall behind the canteen.

そして、こちらは入口から見たクラフト会場の中です。

This is the Hinata cafe craft member's stall.

We had Ko de mari's very popular hand made soaps, textile bags from senhouse, textile accessory and adult clothes by calicot, art work and cards from Naoko, and leather bags from Aki who had joined us this year in cafe team!

こちらはひなたカフェのクラフトメンバーのブース。

Ko　de　mari　の大人気手作り石鹸　 senhouse　のバッグ、calicot　の洋服や布小物、Naoko　のデザイン画やポストカード、そして今年からカフェに入ったアキさん作の革小物達。

Next to us was this beautiful work of felt making!

She had 2 workshop sessions and they were very popular!

There was a Gel nail stall next to the felt stall.

It seems it was closed when she took the photo so we don't have the picture to show..

お隣にはジェルネールをしてくれるブースがあったのですが、

カメラマンが行った時はお休みだったようで写真がありませんでした・・。

This is our popular kid's clothes by Riin!

こちらはいつも人気なRiinさんの子供服♪

And this is the stall by Riin's friend.

They had many cute things which we missed out to see.

そのお隣に、Riinさんのお友達による作品。

可愛い作品が沢山あったようですが、見る機会がなく残念・・・。

This is the Calligraphy workshop and here are beautiful calligraphy works by the teacher.

こちらは書道の先生によるワークショップのブースです。

素敵な書の作品も販売されていました♪

This is the stall with beautiful dolls and bags made by Japanese fabrics.

こちらは和布で作られた素敵な和人形やバッグ等のブースです。

And this is the ticket selling desk for the Gaia symphony.

We had many families who had come to see the film.

そして入口に戻ると、ガイヤのチケット販売デスクがありました。

当日は、沢山の家族連れが見に来てくださいました。

 

 

The event had ended at 3:30pm with a beautiful music by Sanshi and his friends!

Sanshi took these photoes, so he's not in it.

３：３０pmにイベントが終わると、サンシさんやお友達による素敵なコンサートがありました！

サンシさんが写真を撮ってくれたので、彼自身が写ってないです。

Last meeting before the big day!

We have had our last meeting before the event at the Heathcote.

It was a lovely day, and were many families there.

The members had the last discussion before all other stall holders arrived.

The main topic was based on how we unload items and when.

ヒースコートという公園で、イベント前最後のミーティングを行いました。

とっても良いお天気で、沢山の家族連れで賑わっていました。

ストールさん達が到着されるまでの間に

メンバーだけで最終の打ち合わせを行いました。

今回のメイントピックは搬入の方法でした。

After 2pm, most of the stall holders had gathered, and we introduced ourselves for the first time!

2時過ぎにはほとんどのストールさん達が集まり、初顔合せで各自自己紹介を♪

We all brought a plate each, and had a wonderful afternoon tea!

It was a great day out!

Hope we have a similar weather on 8th September!!

皆1品持ち寄って、素敵なお茶タイムを過ごしました！

本当に良い日和で、８日もこんな天気になってくれたら、と思います。

Here are details of the workshops for the Hinata Cafe Event if you haven't got the flyer yet.

To participate in the workshop you must make booking directly.

July meeting

It is almost August, and we have had the meeting on Sunday.We are still in process of distributing our flyer, but you can already pick it up at Nippon food store in Subiaco, Senoji restaurant in Vic park, and Shelley post office.

もうすぐ８月になる今週末、ミーティングを行いました。
只今メンバーがフライヤーを配布しておりますが、今のところ、スビアコの日本フードさん、ビクトリアパークのせのじさんとシェリーの郵便局に配布済です。

The long waited cafe menu has been decided!!
There will be, "onigiri"(rice ball) and miso soup which can be ordered as a set, Hayashi-rice (a special gravy sauce and rice which is very popular in Japan), "kinpira" & "ganmo" rice burger (you'll have to taste it yourself as I can't describe it), and "ganmo" turkish bread.

カフェのメニューも決まりました♪
今年のメニューは、おにぎりと味噌汁（セットも可)、ハヤシライス、きんぴらとがんものライスバーガー、そしてがんもバーガー（ターキッシュブレッド)になっております。

Our craft team will be organising its own workshop this year with our specialy printed calico bag!
The bag has our group name printed in Japanese, and you can decorate it using the selection of our original hand made stamps, Japanese stamps and fabric crayon.
Ofcourse you don't need to decorate it if you like it just as is.

クラフト・チームでも今年はワークショップを行うことにしました♪
ひなたカフェとプリントしたカリコ・バッグをご用意したので、ご自由にスタンプや布クレヨンで絵を描いたりしてデザインを楽しんでいただけます。
もちろん、何もしないままでも結構です♪

Sanshi will be having his workshop and random performance during the day, and will be having a concert inside the hall before the film starts.
The ticket for the film, "Gaia symphony" can be purchased on-line.

The film is free for children under 18, and it is a great film for them to watch.
There will be chairs at the back, and the cushion space at the front for family and children.
The film is in English.

Our last meeting will be held on 26th August, then, it's show time!

最後のミーティングは８月２６日で、そのあとはイベントに向けて本腰で準備が始まります！

Flyer for this year's Hinata Cafe event

The flyer for this year's Hinata Cafe event has been finalized!

We always look forward to see Naoko's design every year,

and this year she has painted this warm colour design for us.

 You can imagine the spring coming when the event will be on in September!

The flyer will be distributed from mid July, so if you see them in shops, please grab some for yourself and for your family and friends!

今年のフライヤーが完成しました♪

毎年楽しみな、なおこちゃんによるフライヤーデザイン。

今年は9月ということもあり、春の始まりを想像させる

暖かい雰囲気なデザインになっています！！

Update on the Hinata cafe event

We have had our June meeting on Sunday.
The preparation for the September event has began, with new members in the Cafe team.
With the new member's new ideas the menu of this year will be quite different from the last year's.
The workshops will include, music, felt, natural dye, and calligraphy.
Stalls will include te-mari, macrobiotic hand baked bread, handmade cards, and Japanese doll.
Hinata cafe members will be displaying new craft works in one booth,
and children's clothes by Riin which was very popular last year will have one booth too!
More details will come after we get the flyer out!

日曜日にミーティングを行いました。
9月に控えているイベントに向けて、色々と決まってきております。
カフェは、トモエさんを中心に、今年は新しいメンバーを引き入れ
去年とはまた少し違うメニューとなってきております。
ワークショップは、音楽、フェルト、草木染め、書道となっており、
ショップのみで、手毬、天然酵母のおやき、手作りカード、和人形等を予定。
ひなたカフェメンバーのコーナーにも、メンバーの新作が揃います。
去年人気だったRiinさんの子供服も、１ブースとしてオープンします♪
